随着美国公众认识到个体的数学学习与数学能力在其发展中的重要意义，“数学等于机会”等理念获得广泛认同，数学教育中的公平问题也愈加受到关注。在美国中小学，不同族裔、家庭背景、城乡区域的学生在数学学习水平上存在着明显差距。导致差距的原因错综复杂，可以从教育资源配置、家庭背景、文化观念等方面予以阐释。
隨著美國公衆認識到箇體的數學學習與數學能力在其髮展中的重要意義，“數學等于機會”等理唸穫得廣汎認同，數學教育中的公平問題也愈加受到關註。在美國中小學，不同族裔、傢庭揹景、城鄉區域的學生在數學學習水平上存在著明顯差距。導緻差距的原因錯綜複雜，可以從教育資源配置、傢庭揹景、文化觀唸等方麵予以闡釋。

As the U.S. people have realized the importance of the ability and learning of mathematics to individual＇s development, concepts including ＂Mathematics Equals Opportunity＂ have been widely accepted and grew in popular. The equity about mathematics education in elementary and secondary schools attracts more and more attention. There exist serious imbalances and gaps in mathematics achievement in students from different ethnics, backgrounds and regions. Causes of the problems are complex and could be analyzed in the perspectives of educational resources, family background and social concepts.
