泰北主体民族泰庸人和中国西双版纳主体民族傣泐人属同一族属,由于分化时间较晚,彼此之间存在着很大的相似性,在历史发展的进程中,两个民族相互之间有协作,也有冲突。但协作大于冲突。14世纪末泰庸文化圈的形成,对傣泐人影响深远,进一步增强了泰庸人与傣泐人之间的相似性。了解两地主体民族在历史上形成、发展及相互之间的关系,可增进人们对两个民族之间政治、经济、文化和社会诸多方面的了解,增进中泰双方共识,加强两个地区的交流合作,促进边疆与周边地区的和谐发展。

The Thai Yuan people in northern Thailand and the Daile people,a main ethnic minority group in China＇s Xishuangbanna,are of the same ethnic group.Thanks to their delayed differentiation,they share many characteristics in common.There were more cooperation than conflicts between the Thai Yuan people and the Daile people in the history.When the Thai Yuan Culture Circle was formed,it had a profound influence on the Daile people and enhanced their similarity.Knowing the formation,development and relationship between the two peoples can promote their mutual understanding in many fields,strengthen their cooperation and enhance the harmonious development of the border areas.
