公共选修课在提高学生综合素质方面起到了重要的作用，高职院校开设公共选修课存在课程陈旧、管理难度大等问题。学院应从挖掘潜力、严格审核、加强监控等方面加强管理。同时，高职院校开设公共选修课必须充分考虑企业的需求，将培训资源服务于教学以满足企业对学生综合素质的要求，达到提高学生综合素质的目的。
