现代性是一个标志着时间意识的概念。从时间意识的演变来看,中国宪法的现代性在宪法文本上首先表现为纪历方式的变化。以公元纪年来表示时间,隐含着时间意识和空间意识的革命。西方传统的历史观是一种以基督教历史意识为主导并将其世俗化的历史观。现代宪法理念颠覆了传统的历史观,却需要一种全新的历史观为其提供正当性根据。人民取代上帝成为历史进程的主导,是现代历史意识对古代历史意识的反叛,因而从根本上体现了现代历史观,直接标志着历史意识的现代性。

Modernity is a concept of marking time consciousness. From the perspective of time consciousness＇s change, the modernity of China＇s Constitution are primarily reflected in the change of calendar form of the Constitution text. The years which are designated by Christian Era implies the revolution of time and space consciousness. The west traditional view of history is dominated by Christian historical consciousness which was secularized later. The traditional historical view is overthrowed by the idea of modern constitution. But it needs a new view of history to be the legitimate foundation for the latter. That the people who replaced the God become the dominator of historical process is a rebellion of modern historical consciousness against antient＂ s. This fundamentally represents modern historical view and is the expression of the modernity of modern constitution＇ s historical consciousness.
