和平教育是指学校传授和平与冲突化解理论、传播和平知识与和平文化、提高人们的和平意识、塑造和平文明的教育。和平教育具有跨学科、多层面和现实性等多种特征。在实施和平教育的过程中应着力提高教师的和平素养，重视和平教育的课程与教材建设，探索和平教育的有效方法，注重多元文化的教育，形成家庭、社会与学校的和平教育合力。

Peace education is the theory of peace and conflict resolution in school,which means that the school should spread the peace knowledge and peace culture so as to improve people＇s consciousness of the peace and establish the peaceful civilization. The peace education is characterized with inter-discipline, multi-level and realism. When carrying out the peace education, we should make more efforts to improve teachers＂ quality of peace, create the ideal teaching materials and curricula of peace, and explore the effective teaching methods for peace education. In addition, we should also pay more attention to multicultural education and combine the power from family, society and school.
