This paper the describes practices and experiences of the intellectual property rights (IPR) pledge financing, and studied the IPR pledge financing constraints in Dongguan City. The pledge of IPR pledge financing includes only patents; a small num- ber of commercial banks involving in IPR pledge with lack of operations innovations; weak productivity of companies dealing with IPR and other intangible assets; insufficient government experiences. This paper presented relevant breakthrough rec- ommendations. For example, the expanded trademark right, and copyright have become ledge of knowledge property right ledge financing; select and increase relevant commercial banks, and commercial banks need innovation in the stages of checking and approving loan; enterprises need long- term planning, accurately grasp the market, and increase operation capability of such intangible asset as knowledge property rights; the governments are allowed to set up pilot area and pilot enterprisos in the districts so as to obtain the experiences. Hopefully, this paper will benefit the practice of knowledge prop- erty ledge financing in Dongguan city and other domestic regions.
