The body and sex are a product of the interaction between nature and culture. Feminism should rethink sexual differences outside the dualist framework of body and mind. Merleau-Ponty＇s integration of the mind-body duality has provided a crucial set of strategic terms that feminists can use when attempting to combine body with sexual differences, which can add substantial depth and sophistication to feminism. They also have to recognize that Merleau-Ponty＇s work remains inadequate for understanding the differences between the sexes. The fact that feminism has brought sexual specificity of body into Merleau-Ponty＇s phenomenology has not only opened up and enriched the possibility and reality of phenomenology but also developed many unique and excellent ideas and ooinions.
