This paper describs in detail the origin and development of the Green Food and the Green Agriculture in China, and analyzes the contributions of the Green Food to the development of Modem Agriculture in China. The paper focuses on the early concept of green agriculture and the achievements of theoretical studies on the green agriculture and its practice, while emphasizing the continuous studies of its standard indicator system. The author proposes that green agri- culture is an important developmental mode for modem agriculture in China. To decrease chemical pesticide use, to protect ecological, environmental and human health, the author carried out a case study of a biological control technique and based on this, commented on the problems of unbalanced investment in agricultural sciences, inefficient policy warranty in some fields, and insufficient financial support. The author appeals for the support from government for the development of key technologies and equipment in industry for insect natural enemies. Finally, the paper points out that scientific programs should be supported in the long time, for effective outcome.
