周济词学思想承张惠言而来，在其“比兴寄托”说的基础上提出“寄托出入”说。此说不仅强调内容上的雅正立意，还追求艺术风格的浑化无痕。周济“寄托出入”说，是香草美人诗学理论在词学领域的延伸，既推尊词体，又深化了词体的功能，具有双重价值，同时也是清代词学诗学化的体现。

Zhou Ji＇ s theory of ci poetry succeeds that of Zhang Huiyan.
