Contemnporary Reflection on Marx's Theories about Economic Crisis
Abstract:The present reality puts a great challenge for traditional economic crisis theories. Economic crisis is a special externalization form of the internal contradictions of marketing economy. As long as the conditions exist, therefore, the crisis will break out in any form. For instance, since the 20th century there had been all kinds of economic crises in both capitalist and socialist countries, and the economic crises may be caused by production surplus or shortage. What' s thought-provoking is the fact that since the late half of 19th century each economic crisis helped produce a new revolution of science and technology and thus promoted capitalism to step into a new phase rather than led to the death of capitalism. Thereby, the worldwide socialists should profoundly reflect on their own theories and strategies and make a better strategic plan for future development.
