“高等性”与“职业性”是高职教育的根本属性。高职教育要实现内涵发展.必须坚持层次和类型的和谐统一,在“职”字上办出特色.不断彰显其职业性以体现其核心价值和优势所在:在“高”字上凸显水平.不断彰显其高等性以提高其整体品质和核心竞争力。这既是高职教育全面提高人才培养质量的基本要求,也是高职教育面向未来,实现其可持续发展的现实需要。从科学定位人才培养目标和规格、提升教师队伍整体水平、培育大学文化和精神等三个方面对实现”高等性”与“职业性”的和谐统一进行系统思考.提出对策和建议。

The "higher attribute" and "vocational attribute" are the two essential attributes of higher vocational education. To achieve its connotative development, higher vocational education is supposed to reflect its level and type in a harmonious way. The "vocational attribute" should emphasize its unique features to display its vocational orientation and its core value and strength; the "higher attribute" should emphasize its level to display its higher orientation and improve its overall quality and core competitiveness. This is not only the fundamental requirements to improve the quality of talent training of higher vocational education in all respects, but also the realistic needs to achieve future-orientated and sustainable development of higher vocational education. To integrate these two attributes of higher vocational education harmoniously, a systematic thinking on the following aspects is conducted, that is, scientifically positioning its goal of talent training and standards, improving the overall level of faculty, fostering university culture and spirit, etc, to put forward countermeasures and suggestions.
