女子教育一直是近、现代小说关注的重要问题之一。中国近、现代小说不仅蕴含有丰富的女子教育思想,还记录了近代中国女子教育的变革过程,其变革路径在小说中清晰可见。清末民初,小说家配合教育救国的时代呼唤,主张兴女学,积极为女子争取教育权利,强调培养＂贤妻良母＂的重要性;20世纪二三十年代,经历＂五四＂个性解放,小说家把重点逐渐从提倡女子教育转移到男女教育平权的实现方面。随着妇女解放运动的深入,女子开始走向社会,培养＂社会人＂成为新的教育目标。

The female＇s education is one of the important topics in modern novels. These novels not only contained a wealth of the female＇s education thoughts, but also recorded the transformation process of the female＇s educational concept in modern China. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the writers advocated setting up schools for the female, and positively strived for the female＇s rights of education inspired by the ideal of saving the nation by education. To draw the people＇s attention, novelists em- phasized the importance of the female＇s education from the perspective of their role of wife and mother. They advocated cultivating ＂a good wife and loving mother＂. In the 1920s and 1930s, the topic of novels gradually transferred from advocating the female＇s education to achieving education equality, driven by the trend of thought of individual emancipation of the May 4th Movement. With the development of the Women＇s Liberation Movement, women began to enter society, and cultivating women into ＂a social person＂ became a new educational goal.
