东晋南北朝时期,佛教迎来了在中国传播的第一个高潮。士大夫阶层无疑是促成这一高潮的主体。对这一时期的儒佛关系进行考察的学术成果,较少涉及士大夫阶层的这一主体地位,更少关涉促使他们活动的深层次原因。士大夫阶层特有的超越精神,在这一时期促成了礼佛双修的谈辩境域。一方面,他们重视丧服制度,制定家礼以维系家族,把对儒家世俗伦理价值的追求落实在齐家的儒学中;另一方面,他们又试图通过“归心”佛教的方式,为儒家世俗伦理价值寻找内在安顿。士大夫这种试图为儒家世俗伦理价值寻找内在安顿的诉求,是由其本性中的超越精神决定的。
東晉南北朝時期,彿教迎來瞭在中國傳播的第一箇高潮。士大伕階層無疑是促成這一高潮的主體。對這一時期的儒彿關繫進行攷察的學術成果,較少涉及士大伕階層的這一主體地位,更少關涉促使他們活動的深層次原因。士大伕階層特有的超越精神,在這一時期促成瞭禮彿雙脩的談辯境域。一方麵,他們重視喪服製度,製定傢禮以維繫傢族,把對儒傢世俗倫理價值的追求落實在齊傢的儒學中;另一方麵,他們又試圖通過“歸心”彿教的方式,為儒傢世俗倫理價值尋找內在安頓。士大伕這種試圖為儒傢世俗倫理價值尋找內在安頓的訴求,是由其本性中的超越精神決定的。
동진남북조시기,불교영래료재중국전파적제일개고조。사대부계층무의시촉성저일고조적주체。대저일시기적유불관계진행고찰적학술성과,교소섭급사대부계층적저일주체지위,경소관섭촉사타문활동적심층차원인。사대부계층특유적초월정신,재저일시기촉성료례불쌍수적담변경역。일방면,타문중시상복제도,제정가례이유계가족,파대유가세속윤리개치적추구락실재제가적유학중;령일방면,타문우시도통과“귀심”불교적방식,위유가세속윤리개치심조내재안돈。사대부저충시도위유가세속윤리개치심조내재안돈적소구,시유기본성중적초월정신결정적。
The period of Eastern Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties witnessed the flourishing of Buddhism in China. Undoubtedly, the intellectuals had acted as the core force to set off the upsurge. This paper aims to look in- to the underneath causes for activities of the intellectuals. During this period, discourse on Confucian rituals and Buddhism was established. On the one hand, the intellectuals laid special emphasis on the system of mourning ap- parel and family rituals to sustain harmonious families. Thus, they attempted to materialize the Confucian ethical values in their practice to regulate the families. On the other hand, they believed that Buddhism could enhance their inward self-cultivation to anchor Confucian ethical values. It was their immanent- transcendent spirit that brought about the integrated cultivation in both Confucianism and Buddhism.
