加拿大是多元文化教育发展较好的国家,就是这样一个多元文化杂烩的国度,1990年被联合国发展计划组织评为首位最适合＂人类生长＂的国家。这与加拿大人始终尊重多元文化,关注多元文化教育有很强的相关。加拿大多元文化教育与我国的民族教育有很大相似性,因此可以从异国的经验中求得当前中国多元文化教育的可持续发展路径。

Canada is one of the best countries who develops multi--culture education well in the whole world. In 1990,Canada is evaluated to be the most suitable place for humanbeings to live by the United Na- tions Development Programme. All these achievements have relationship with its respecting to multi--cul- ture and paying more attention to multi--culture education. In China, ethnic education has some similari- ties with Canada multi--culture education ,so from foreign country＇s experiences we can find the sustain- ing way of multi--culture education in China.
