中小企业采用品牌授权方式的发展阶段可分为四个层次，即假冒伪劣产品阶段、产品合格阶段、贴牌生产阶段以及自主品牌建设阶段。目前珠三角地区的大部分企业处于第三个阶段。企业如何选择授权商关系到企业的生存与发展。只有当授权商标的情感指数和粘合指数都较高时，品牌授权才能获得成功。珠三角地区中小企业在选择授权商时，应始终注重产品质量，重点考查授权品牌的情感指数和粘合指数的高低。考查授权方的品牌信用度。

The process for the small and medium-sized firms to take brand license can be divided into four steps： inferior product step, qualified product step, OEM step, and independent brand step. Most of firms in the Peal River Delta Area are at the third step. How to choose the suitable licensor is the most important element for the development of these firms. The research shows the brand license will be successful when both emotional and bondability index are high. These firms should pay attention to the quality of the goods, the level of the emotion index and bondability index, and the brand credit degree of the licensors.
