本文从历时的视角勾勒作为适用语言学的系统功能语言学的发展模式和特点。在系统功能语言学作为适用语言学的发展过程中，多语言研究、多学科研究和多意义系统研究是三个逐渐明显的趋势，并大致沿着与语言的相关程度、研究内容的精密度和语域／语篇类型向纵深细微处拓展。研究表明，系统功能的适用语言学研究和它的普通语言学理论研究是互为补充的，都是系统功能语言学模式不可或缺的组成部分。
本文從歷時的視角勾勒作為適用語言學的繫統功能語言學的髮展模式和特點。在繫統功能語言學作為適用語言學的髮展過程中，多語言研究、多學科研究和多意義繫統研究是三箇逐漸明顯的趨勢，併大緻沿著與語言的相關程度、研究內容的精密度和語域／語篇類型嚮縱深細微處拓展。研究錶明，繫統功能的適用語言學研究和它的普通語言學理論研究是互為補充的，都是繫統功能語言學模式不可或缺的組成部分。

The article provides a diachronic depiction of Systemic Functional Linguistics as an appliable linguistics vis-fi-vis its development model and the major features. It is shown that the appliable linguistics moves towards the most delicate along the three dimensions of relevance to language, delicacy and register/text type. It is also shown that the development of Systemic Functional Linguistics as an appliable linguistics and that as a general linguistic theory are complementary to one another, each being an integral part of the overall linguistic model.
