The thesis compares four aspects of urbanization in China and India： the basis of urbanization, the power of urbanization, the evolution of urbanization and the government＇s role in the process of urbanization. It makes analysis of the similarities and differences of urbanization between two countries by comparing the international experience and existing data. Through a comparative study, tions that the two countries can learn from each urban experience to take the author makes policy recommendations that the two countries can learn from each urban experience to take a more reasonable way of urbanization.
