The paper discusses how to use streaming media technology, satellite reception technology and existing computer, network, software and hardware resources to achieve efficient transmission, sharing and centralized management of satellite video teaching resource via Metropolitan Area Network （MAN）. This project addresses the issues including uneven allocation of educational resources, difficulties in equipment management and shortage of IT supporting professionals during the implementation process of modem remote educational project of elementary and middle school in countryside. It also improves the level of information technology of education.
