作为一个文学和美术结合的艺术种类，台湾绘本文体具有借助图画进行具象表达的文学修辞手段，其文本通过线条、色彩与语言结合的符号系统和技术手段实现了意义象征，其中的配图文字具有超逸于说明文字的文学功能。自1980年以降，当代台湾绘本艺术已成为一种流行娱乐文化，此种台湾绘本文化现象具有消费文化的特征，是消费社会里适合大众审美心理和现代社会文化传播及市场运营机制的成功创意范例。

As a kind of art through the combination of literature and art, the style of the Taiwan picture books is typical of giving a figurative expression through literary rhetorical devices with the help of pictures. The texts have realized their symbol of significance by using line, symbol system resulting from the combination of color and language and technical means, with map texts free and natural in literary function. Since 1980 the Taiwan contemporary picture book art has become a popular entertain- ment culture. Such phenomenon of picture book culture in Taiwan possesses the characteristics of the consumer culture, which proves to be a successful and creative example in catering for the mass aesthetic psychology in consumer society, the cultural transmission of modem society and the market operation mechanism as well.
