敦煌莫高窟的穹窿形佛龛是在沙砾岩的岩体中掏出来的,然后在佛龛中进行雕塑和绘画。由于当时的技术不够发达,佛龛的曲面有大量人为因素的存在,造成不同的地方曲率不同。为了在平面上显示立体细节,需要将穹隆形佛龛展开在二维的图纸上,本文提出用断面法解决佛龛展开的问题,在三维点云数据上制作横、纵断面,绘制平面图,提高了曲面展开为平面的精度(即提高了平面表达曲面的精度),为曲面测量提供了新的解决办法。

The arched niches of the Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang were first chiseled out of gravel rock walls. Then paintings and sculptures were created inside them. The curvature of the surface varied in different places because of the limitations of then current technology. To display its details on a surface, the surface of the arched niche should be unfolded onto a drawing. This paper presents a higher-resolution approach to this problem by basing the floor plan and the cross sections on point cloud data, which improves the accuracy of the unfolded surface.
