百余年来,英国举办的3次现代奥运会,是富有现代人文色彩的节约型奥运会。纵观其承办过程都很艰难,在申奥前,官民意见往往不一,而在承办时,3次都出现财政吃紧。从比赛结果来看,前2次英国独领风骚,第3次则要努力追赶方可进入前五。总之,历史证明,3次奥运促进了伦敦城市由西向东的整体发展。同时,也为中国未来再次举办奥运提供思路。

In the part century, UK hosted three modern Olympics, which were all cost--effective and Culture--enriched. The organization was full of difficulties. There were divergent opinions between the government and the general public about the bidding. The organization work suffered from financial difficulties. As for the competition results, UK took the lead in the first two games, but struggled to become the top five in the third one. Nevertheless, history has proved that the three Olympics helped London to expand from the west to the east in its general development. Its experience provides some light on how China can host another Olympics in the future.
