本文采用泰尔指数就海峡西岸经济区的地区收入差距水平进行测度,通过实证检验2000-2010年海西区20个地级市经济社会相关数据,文章得出以下结论：（1）海西区地区发展不平衡程度较为显著;（2）海西四大片区（赣东片区、浙南片区、粤东北片区与福建片区）区域间收入差距对总差距水平的贡献率要高于各片区区域内收入差距;（3）与其他三大片区相比,福建片区的区域内收入差距较为显著。文章其于海西区地区收入差距的成因的解析给出了包括加快内陆城镇化建设、改革城乡户籍制度、调整行政区划建制、建设区域统一市场、扶持中小企业发展等相关政策建议。

In this paper,we use the instrument of Theil Index to measure the regional income gap within the Economic Zone on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits.The data we covered include all the 20 cities in this area during the period of 2000 to 2010.Basis on the analysis,we have some conclusions as follows.Firstly,there does have a significant regional development imbalance within the Economic Zone.Secondly,the income gap between the four different areas（Gandong Area,Zhe’nan Area,Yuedongbei Area and Fujian Area） plays a more important role than the income gap within the respective area regarding the overall difference.（3） Thirdly,the income gap within Fujian Province is much more serious compared with the other three areas.After then,the article shows reasons that enlarge the regional income gap and concludes with some suggestions on the macroeconomic policies.
