话语标记语是一种语用现象,词语原有意义与特定语境共同形成话语标记意义,其话语意义的形成经历了语法化过程。话语标记语的语法化就是词语由指称功能向非指称功能的转化,语法化中词语的意义变化是沿着从命题到语篇再到人际层面的轨迹进行的。在语法化过程中,话语标记语原有命题意义被虚化,与此同时,其话语意义也经历了语用充实的过程。

Discourse markers, as a pragmatic phenomenon, form their discourse senses through grammaticalization with their original meaning combined with specific contexts. The function of discourse markers changes from referential to non-referential in the process of grammaticalization, with their senses moving from proportional to textual and further to interpersonal level. When grammaticalized, discourse markers, on the one hand, have their proportional meaning bleached and on the other hand, have their discourse senses pragmatically enriched.
