The competition relationship among capital is one of the most important dimensions in the capitalist production relations. Marx has made groundbreaking contribution to the capitalist competition theory. Following the steps of Marx, the theo- retical circle started further exploration and argument on the relationship between competition and monopoly as well as the laws of monopolistic capitalist economy. Among the researches on present -day capitalist competition, SSA School and Regulation School consciously introduced an institution analysis method, which greatly promoted the researches on the relationship between compe- tition and institution. Crotty, an American Marxist economist, puts emphasis on the issues of destructive competition under the neo - liberalism system. The issues of the IP monopoly and competition in the industry chain would be the possible further devel- opment of Marxist competition theory.
