本文通过评论《审查历史》一书，提出了解释日本、德国和美国教科书争议之所以发生的四个原因。在界定教科书争议的国际和国内维度的内涵后，论文从控制教科书生产的不同机制、公民认同的变迁、国际关系的改变和对外战略的规划等四个方面，逐一分析了德、日、美三个国家的政治和社会因素对于教科书争议的影响，得出教科书争议和文化分歧的背后是政治冲突的结论。
本文通過評論《審查歷史》一書，提齣瞭解釋日本、德國和美國教科書爭議之所以髮生的四箇原因。在界定教科書爭議的國際和國內維度的內涵後，論文從控製教科書生產的不同機製、公民認同的變遷、國際關繫的改變和對外戰略的規劃等四箇方麵，逐一分析瞭德、日、美三箇國傢的政治和社會因素對于教科書爭議的影響，得齣教科書爭議和文化分歧的揹後是政治遲突的結論。

Through a review of the book Censoring history the author explained four causes that had led to the controversy over the Japanese, German and American textbooks. After defi-ning the concept of textbook controversy from the national and international dimensions, the pa-per discussed the political and social factors of the three countries that had influenced the text-book controversy respectively from the perspectives of mechanism of textbook production, chan-ges in citizen identification, changes in international relations, and design of foreign strategies. Conclusions were reached that under the surface of cultural controversy over textbooks were the essential cause of political conflicts.
