皮质文物由于长时间经受不良环境的影响，出现糟朽、变干、变硬、脆化等病害，由于皮质文物不同于普通皮革，普通的修复方法难以对其起到效果。本研究通过清洗、软化、补水、加脂处理，改善了皮质文物的的空间结构及其组成，提高了皮质文物的含水量、含脂量，保护处理后的皮质文物在柔软度、弹性、厚度等机械性能方面都有明显的改善。该研究对皮质文物的保护具有一定借鉴作用。
피질문물유우장시간경수불량배경적영향，출현조후、변간、변경、취화등병해，유우피질문물불동우보통피혁，보통적수복방법난이대기기도효과。본연구통과청세、연화、보수、가지처리，개선료피질문물적적공간결구급기조성，제고료피질문물적함수량、함지량，보호처리후적피질문물재유연도、탄성、후도등궤계성능방면도유명현적개선。해연구대피질문물적보호구유일정차감작용。
The leathern cultural relics have been buried under the ground for a long time, so theirappearance and mechanical property have been damaged seriously. Because leathern cultural relics are different from the ordinary leather products, the restore method have no effect on them. The glycerine has a good function of remaining water, and its fat can replace the lost fat organic matters in the leathern cultural relics. This study shows that its water content and fat content have the distinct enhancement through a series of processing steps such as enzyme preparation cleaning, softening, water adding, dewatering, adding fat and fat-liquoring agent. After three months, soft effect is better than untreated leathern cultural relics. The experiment indicates this method can soften the leathern cultural relics to a certain extent and lay the foundation for the restoration of the leather cultural relics.
