相对于专业教育而言,基础教育的终极价值是“成人”而非“成才”。“成人”与“成才”内涵的自然择定,是基础教育本质特征的应有之义,是政策法规赋予基础教育的基本义务。基础教育培养目标只有归其本位,坚持“成人”的应有价值取向,在具体实施中方能脚踏实地,克服浮躁行为和极端功利行为,从而引领我国的基础教育走向健康发展之道。

Compared with the professional education, the value orientation of basic education is "cultivating person" instead of "cultivating talented person". It's the natural selection of the intrinsic value between "cultivating person" and "cultivating talented person". Meanwhile, it is the basic obligation legally required. Only basic education must return to its own ultimate pursuit and persist in real value orientation "cultivating person", and only in this way can we overcome blundering behavior and extreme utilitarianism, so as to lead our basic education on the road of healthy development.
