媒介素养在确保个人事业持续发展方面起着重要作用。本文以南京地区不同层次10所院校学生调查测试为基础，讨论高校学生的媒介素养情况。调查结果显示以下三个问题：缺乏对重大新闻事件的关注；缺少基本新闻文化知识；报刊英语主要特色了解不够。作者提出了四条提高大学生媒介素养水平的措施：增强媒介素养教育意义的认识；引导学生了解新闻文化熟悉报刊语言特色；着力建设媒介素养高水平教师队伍；开展多种多样的新闻制作实践活动。

Media literacy plays an important role in ensuring sustainable development of personal career. The article is based on an investigation of media literacy of college students from 10 universities in Nanjing. The research finds the following three problems： lack of attention to major news events, lack of basic knowledge about news culture and unawareness of major characteristics of English news writings. It is suggested that teachers of English News Publication Reading Course should be fully aware of significance of media literacy education, take effective measures to raise their own media literacy level, help students to familiarize themselves with news cul- ture, and language features of news writings, and provide students with various kinds of news production practice.
