竞技是人类天性中具有对抗、比拼、竞争和决斗精神的活动。竞技是为了证明人类身体的优越性，竞争是为了表现强大，较量是为了获取荣誉，比试是为了证明勇气，争斗是为了赢得胜利。竞争产生了追求荣誉的勇气，纯朴的心灵和强健的身体都在竞技运动中找到一种独特的文化关怀，竞技成为人类社会制造审美的欣赏与体验。对于竞技运动的本质探究，必须成为理解人性的首要过程，在哲学视角寻找属于竞技运动本质的线索。

Competition is the spirit of confronting, contesting, competing and dueling existing in human nature. Competition is for proving the superiority of the human body and showing powerfulness; battling is for gaining honors, contesting is for proving courage, fighting is for winning victory. Competition is a constructive noble factor, generating the courage to pursue honors, enabling both innocent soul and strong body to find a sort of unique cultural care in competitive sports, becoming some short of appreciation and experience in which human society creates beauty. Probing into the essence of competitive sports must become the priority process for understanding human nature; we should look for clues to the essence of competitive sports from the perspective of philosophy.
