英汉类词缀的语义虚化是一个渐变过程。虽然英、汉语属于两种不同的语言,但它们的词缀化过程存在极大的相似性。研究表明：隐喻机制是两种语言语法化现象的动力,它证明人类认知世界的过程是一个由具体到抽象的序列,英汉类词缀的语法化过程正是这个序列的体现,隐喻化程度越高,类词缀的语法化程度越强。由此可见,隐喻对促进词缀化进程、丰富语言表达参数、推进语言的演变起着积极的作用。

Grammaticalization of English-Chinese affixoid is a gradual process.Although English and Chinese belong to different languages,there are great similarities in term of affixization.The study shows that metaphor is the driving force of grammaticalization of the two languages,which proves that the process of understanding the world is an order from the concret to the abstract,which exactly reflects the grammaticalization process of English-Chinese affixoid.The higher degree of metaphorization is,the stronger degree of their grammaticalization becomes.Therefore,metaphor exerts a positive influence upon the affixization,enriching languang expression and promoting language evolution.
