复杂构式是由两个或两个以上的构式组合而成，组建复杂构式的成分相融性，即组成构式的成分之间在语义和形式上不冲突，是组建复杂构式的前提条件。本文通过具体实例分析，对成分相容性进行了阐释，归纳了四种由英语限定与非限定动词组建的复杂动词短语图式构武，这些图式构式为具体动词短语构武的建立提供了可能。文章最后指出，具体复杂动词短语构式的生成有赖于具体限定与非限定动词语义和功能的相融性。

A complex construction is composed of two or more than two constructions. The compatibility of elements to be built into a complex construction, i. e. , no conflict between the con- structed elements in meaning and form, is the precondition of the formation of the complex construction. Through detailed example analyses, this study interprets the compatibility of ele- ments and generalizes four complex schematic verb phrase con- structions of ＂finite verb ＋ nonfinite verb＂. These schematic constructions provide the possibilities of the construction of the concrete verb phrase instances. The study concludes that the for- marion of these verb phrase construction instances depends on the semantic and functional compatibility of concrete finite and nonflnite verbs.
