诗歌做为人类观照世界的基本方式之一,用高度精炼的语言、丰富的想象反映了人类对客观物象的认知和感受。论文通过分析中、英古典诗歌中的时间意象,发现中、西方文化对时间的认识既有基于对时间这一客观存在普遍感知的共性内涵,同时又反映了中国思维传统具有整体性与直觉性,而西方文化思维传统具有二分性及逻辑性的文化差异。认识这种文化共性与差异是跨文化交流的重要基础。

As a basic approach to viewing the world,poetry,with its highly condensed language and rich imagination,gives vivid expression to people＇s recognition of and insight into the physical realm.Time images in both classical Chinese and English poetry are analyzed,and it is found that time images share common cross-cultural implications based on the universal perception of the objective existence of time.Meanwhile,the wholeness and intuitiveness in Chinese thinking and the duality and logicality in Western thinking are also embodied in the time images.The awareness of cultural generality and difference is crucial for cross-cultural communications.
