贵州农业产业化在指标数据上表现出较差的可持续性，这些指标包括农村人口中的恩格尔系数、农业产值在社会总产值中的比例、农村经济中的非农活动收入、农村劳动力人口中从事非农劳动的数量、农业种植结构中经济作物种植面积占总面积的比例。改善可持续性需要找准途径，即在依托国家农业补贴的基础上，狠抓农业招商引资，着重借力于农村金融和农业保险；依靠培训提升劳动力素质；依靠农业专业组织，形成市场合力，提高经济作物的播种面积，增加农民收入等。
