俐侎人对待男女两性的社会性别期待从孩子未出生就开始了,他们将这种期待融入当地的育儿习俗中。俐侎人对待男女两性儿童在求子习俗、生育和养育三个环节上有具体差异,其育儿习俗中的孕育、生育、养育过程中处处折射出当地人＂男女有别＂、＂男尊女卑＂的传统社会性别观念。要转变俐侎人的社会性别观念需要男女两性的共同努力,男性应该抛开性别偏见,而女性应该提高自身的觉醒意识,转变传统的角色认同。
