西周青铜器所见的一卦可以有多种写法的数字卦相当于后世以《周易》实占时用七八九六来记写的占筮记录而并非当时筮书上易卦的写法。陕西长安西仁村陶拍上所见与王家台秦简《归藏》、上博简《周易》等古本筮书写法大体一致的数字卦应是西周时期筮书上易卦的写法。如战国秦汉古本筮书上相当于用两个符号或数字记写的六十四卦体系当早已存在。
西週青銅器所見的一卦可以有多種寫法的數字卦相噹于後世以《週易》實佔時用七八九六來記寫的佔筮記錄而併非噹時筮書上易卦的寫法。陝西長安西仁村陶拍上所見與王傢檯秦簡《歸藏》、上博簡《週易》等古本筮書寫法大體一緻的數字卦應是西週時期筮書上易卦的寫法。如戰國秦漢古本筮書上相噹于用兩箇符號或數字記寫的六十四卦體繫噹早已存在。
서주청동기소견적일괘가이유다충사법적수자괘상당우후세이《주역》실점시용칠팔구륙래기사적점서기록이병비당시서서상역괘적사법。협서장안서인촌도박상소견여왕가태진간《귀장》、상박간《주역》등고본서서사법대체일치적수자괘응시서주시기서서상역괘적사법。여전국진한고본서서상상당우용량개부호혹수자기사적륙십사괘체계당조이존재。
Different styles of writing of a single hexagram in the Bronze Wares of the Western Zhou are congruent with later generations motes in practical divinations taken down with the four numbers of 7, 8, 9, and 6, rather than the writing styles in the divinatory books at that time. The writing style of the six-number sets in the pottery pat collected at Village Xiren, Changlm, Shaanxi Province similar to the style of the hexagrams in the Qin bamboo slips manuscript of Guicang （ Return to the Hidden ） and the Chu bamboo slip version of Zhouyi collected in Shanghai Museum should be the way of writing of the hexagrams in the divinatory books of the Western Zhou. The sixty-four hexagrams system expressed by two symbols （of y/n and yang） or numbers in the Warring States period through the Han dynasty should have come into being long before.
