There is a distinction between sharp and rounded sounds for the old and young speakers in Longde dialect. There is a difference between non-aspiration in literary readings and aspiration in colloquial readings for Middle Chinese voiced stops and affricates of oblique tones. Due to the impact of these two aspects, there are four different readings of initials in oblique tones.
