通过问卷调查和数理统计的方法，基于瑶语、当地方言以及普通话三个维度语言态度的定量分析和定性研究，可见湖南衡阳常宁塔山民族乡区域瑶族人群语言态度上存如下特征：一、对瑶语有浓厚的感情，老年人对瑶语的感情常常表现得比年轻人更加明显和强烈；二、语言态度比较开放，对常宁话、普通话有明确的认同感，且开放程度与年龄成反比。三、对学习和使用汉语持肯定态度，并且愿意主动付诸实践。

By questionnaire and mathematical statistics, based on the three dimensions of quantitative and qualitative research of language attitude about the Yao language, the local Chinese dialect and Putonghua, we can know that the Yao population have the following characteristics about language attitude., strong feelings on Yao language, open attitude about the language including the local Chinese dialect and Putonghua and a positive attitude toward Chinese learning and using, and would like to put into practicing.
