近代中国农业经济学是在农村经济衰败以及畸形商品经济发展时代背景下,作为挽救农村经济方式之一传入的。这一时期,农业经济学发展传播迅速、规模大,研究方法、对象多样。也正因救济农村经济的目的性大于学科建设,故这一时期的中国农业经济学并未形成相对统一完整的学科体系,仅仅是处在传播、建设阶段。

In the Republican Era of China,agricultural economics was spread and developed as a tool to save China＇s rural economy from going bankrupt against a historical background where rural China was going through a constant decline in rural areas ruralstorcial background where gningground where and a distorted development of commodity economy.In that period,agricultural economics spread very rapidly in China with a large scale;scholars engaging in this field had diverse research methods and subjects.However,scholars at that time focused much more on using modern agricultural economics as a cure for China＇s depressed rural economy than condcuting academic research that would contribute to the discipline development.This actually led to a fact that the modern Chinese agricultural economics in that era was far from being a subject with a complete and unified system.Instead,it was still in the stage of spreading and construction featured by complexity and fundamentality.
