叶圣陶在不同时期提出的种种教育命题至今依然具有强烈的现实针对性，强调叶圣陶教育思想的当代价值，对于深化叶圣陶研究极有意义。随着对叶圣陶教育思想研究的深入，对叶圣陶教育思想的阐释及价值和意义的认识还会有新的发现。对叶圣陶教育思想的独特价值和意义的全面认识和整体把握，是推动叶圣陶研究发展和持续深入的前提；拓展思路，寻找新的研究角度和研究范式，是发现和发掘叶圣陶教育思想新的价值和意义的有效途径。叶圣陶研究也有一个与时俱进的问题，要从现实的文化教育发展需求中，不断激发对叶圣陶研究的新的激情，认识叶圣陶教育思想价值的可增值性；要在不断的新的阐释中，通过对其价值和意义的重新发现，不断生发出新的话题，寻找新的研究生长点；要让叶圣陶研究在已成历史研究对象的叶圣陶与当代教育之间筑起沟通的桥梁，使学者们书斋研究的成果转化为推动现实的民族文化“重造”的重要资源。

Ye Shengtao put forth different educational questions at different time of his life which still have very immediate significance. To stress the value of his thoughts of education will be of great importance to the further study of Ye Shengtao. As the research on his thoughts deepens, there will be new interpretations and findings. To fully understand and grasp the true essence and peculiar importance of his thoughts is a prerequisite for the deepening of the research, and to broaden the horizon and scope of the research is the effective approach to exploring and discovering new meanings in his thoughts. The research on Ye Shengtao also should advance with times and we have to realize the increasing importance of his thoughts from the demands of present cultural and educational development and to find new research topics from the further expounding of his ideas and new discoveries of their values. The present work should serve as a bridge between the research on a historical person and the issues of contemporary education, and the achievements of the scholars＇theoretical research should turn into the important driving force for pushing forward the ＂remolding＂ of our national culture.
