在简要回顾伦敦区域构成与就业人口变动趋势的基础上，对伦敦居民的就业通勤状况进行了介绍。从出行方式和居住区位、就业通勤与非就业通勤、内向通勤与外向通勤，以及时间距离和空间距离之间的关系视角。对伦敦居民就业通勤的时空分布规律进行了分析。

Base on an introduction on the administrative division and employment population of metropolitan London, the commuting characteristics of London residents is reviewed. In addition, the principle of temporal and spatial distribution of commuting in metropolitan London are analyzed from the viewpoints of the relationship between travel mode and residence location, employment commuting and non - employment commuting, in -commuting and out- commuting as well as travel time and travel distance.
