Based on the analysis of the talent cultivation objective position of different types of universities in Australia, the paper compares, in the form of cases ,the differences between research-oriented universities and application-oriented universities in Australia in respect of wide caliber,academic nature,profession and practicalness from the perspective of curriculum system and teaching content, lending insight into school-running orientation and its implementation path of different types of universities in our country.
