The Central Plains Eastern Zhou Period Tombs with Bronzes Burial Classification
本文中的中原地区，大体上是指从黄河沿岸到黄土高原东南缘的区域，包括今天河北中南部、山西中南部、陕西东部、河南大部等地，东周时期这里的主要文化是晋文化及三家分晋后的三晋文化，也包括周王室及后分封的东周与西周两个小诸侯国的文化。本文讨论的铜器墓是指随葬有青铜礼器的墓葬。

By the ding-tripod using situation and assemblage, the Eastern Zhou tombs yielding bronzes in the Central Plains can be classified into nine groups; referring to the grave size, assemblages of other bronze ritual vessels, layers of coffins and coffin chambers, the accompanying of chariots and horses （or their fittings）, musical instruments, jades and other relevant factors, we can further classify these tombs into Type A with high-ranking bronzes, Type B with middle-ranking bronzes and Type C with low-ranking bronzes. This classification applied the using and assemblage of ding-tripods as the main criterion, but also considered the numbers of ＂lieding （array of ding-tripods as the symbol of the tomb occupant＇s status）＂ and the symbolic meaning of the ding-tripods which did not belong to the lieding system but were used as lieding, and the evolution of the ding-tripod-using system in the Eastern Zhou Period.
