Guanxi; career development; social networking; strong/weak ties
中国社会是“关系社会”、“人情社会”,个体在职业发展过程中通常受到各种关系的影响。组织内部的关系包括同事关系、领导关系。与同事良好的关系有助于个体绩效的提升和自我效能感的增强;与领导良好的关系对个体的晋升速度、薪酬水平以及对组织的认同感和归属感有积极的影响。组织外部的关系如亲朋好友关系、政府关系、商业关系都是个体重要的社会资源,良好的组织外部关系对个体的职业发展具有促进作用。

Chinese society is viewed as "a society of Guanxi and Renqing", so individual career develop ment is usually influenced by different kinds of guanxi. Guanxi in the organization includes "guanxi with colleagues" and "guanxi with supervisors". Good guanxi with colleagues can facilitate individual's performance and self--efficiency; guanxi with supervisors is able to positively impact on individual's promotion, salary and organizational commitment and identification. Ouanxi out of the organization (e. g. friend guanxi, government guanxi and business guanxi), that can positively promote individual career development, is also an important social resource for everyone.
