传统知识是一种涉及到传统文化艺术、动植物品种、传统医疗方法等诸多方面的知识体系。今天的传统知识愈益受到重视并得到了广泛利用,同时也受到越来越多的侵犯。拥有传统知识的社区、民族和国家尤其是发展中国家要求以国际法保护传统知识的呼声越来越高,我国尤有必要运用国际法手段保护本国丰富的传统知识资源。

Traditional knowledge relates to traditional culture and art, animal and plant varieties, traditional medical methods and other aspects of knowledge. Today traditional knowledge has been used more and more widely, but at the same time, it is also facing constant abuse. The requirement of protecting traditional knowledge by international law in the communities, nations and countries especially the developing ones is increasing. For China, it is necessary to put forward to international law to maximize our rich traditional knowledge benefit.
