以徐光启为核心的明末基督教徒是西方火器技术传华的主导者，两次购募西炮西兵是其实践成果，以《西法神机》《火攻挈要》《守圉全书》为代表的三部著作是其理论成果。明末基督教徒“核心一半外围一外围”关系网推动了中国火器技术发展，并取得一系列成果，但这一趋势为吴桥兵变所终结。基督教关系网崩溃导致的西方火器技术传华渠道中断，造成了明末火器技术的衰落。

Christians centered around Xu Guangqi in the late Ming dynasty are the leading force in introducing Western firearms into China. They twice purchased Western firearms, and the books Xi Fa Shen Ji, Huo Gong Qie Yao and Shou Yu Quan Shu are their theoretical results. The ＂core - semi - peripheral - peripheral＂ structure pro- moted Chinese firearms technology, and led to a series of results, but this trend ended. Collapse of Christian relation- ships interrupted the channel for Western firearms technology to be brought into China, bence the decline of Chinese firearms technology.
