从大视野的角度观察问题，可以准确把握某些看似平常事件的历史地位。由此认定，宋太宗太平兴国二年（977）扩大进±录取名额，是唐宋科举制度变革的转折点。它起了三大作用：第一，确立了全新的官僚政治体制；第二，提高了国民的整体素质。第三，推动了经济、科技的发展。同时从大视野的角度观察与此相关的两个问题：录取特奏名进士和恩荫制度，认为不能简单地否定，它们都有存在的合理性，是宋代科举制度的必要组成部分。

To review the history from a broader perspective can help us understand the true significance of the events that might seem unimportant at first glance. Based on this methodology, we are able to identify the turning point of the institution of the Tang-Song imperial examinations as happening in the year 977 when the Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty increased the number ofjinshi degree to be awarded. His action led to the establishment of a completely new bureaucratic system, which was an improvement in the educational level of the citizenry at large, and also an acceleration of economic and technical development. Meanwhile, if examined from an equally broad perspective, the enrollment of those who failed in the initial imperial examination as finshi due to the special permission for them to re-attend the imperial examination, and the system of high officials＇ offspring＇ s privilege to education and officialdom, were also essential components in the imperial examination system of the Song Dynasty, whose contributions should not be underestimated.
