在喜剧《明娜·封·巴尔赫姆》里,莱辛巧妙的布局隐藏了台尔海姆的严峻处境,制造出一个正直善良,却过分执着名誉原则、过分强调人格自主的台尔海姆假象。本文通过细读台尔海姆的各种表现,阐明台尔海姆行为背后的合理性及其潜在的悲剧性。另一方面,本文尝试借助莱辛在《悲剧通信》与《汉堡剧评》中对悲剧的＂同情＂与＂净化＂的分析,解释明娜导演的＂假戏＂如何能够帮助台尔海姆克服悲剧处境给他带来的心理危机。

The composition of Minna von Barnhelm （1767） enables Lessing to conceal the tragic situation of Tellheim and to create a comical figure of moral integrity, whose overestimate of honour und autonomy drives him to the desperation towards the goodness of Providence. Through a close reading of Tellheim＇s behaviour during the war and the context of his lawsuit, this paper tries to reveal the rationality of Tellheim＇s seemingly irrational behaviour and the tragic element of his situation. Tellheim＇s desperation results from the fear of the loss of his honour, a social status, which turns out to be the external, nevertheless necessary precondition of his moral fulfilment. On the other hand, it is indeed Minna＇s fictional tragedy that affects Tellheim. Through the sympathy with Minna and the catharsis of his disturbed emotion, Tellheim retrieves his spirit of adventure for the sake of love and friendship despite the uncertain future.
