以“历史怎么看、是非怎么判、问题怎么解、现在怎么办”为问，认为中国特色社会主义的民族政策体系和制度设计实现了疆域的大一统和中华民族多元一体的大格局。面对经济转型时期出现的民族关系新特点，欲以“强制认同”方式“彻底”解决民族问题的“新思维”，将给中国民族工作实践带来极大政治风险。民族关系调适的主导力量在政府，抑制市场经济分化力量，发挥其整合功能，构建各民族共同团结奋斗、共同繁荣发展的民族关系机制，是民族政策的方向和民族团结平等的前途。

After enquiring into the questions of how to judge history, how to judge what is right and wrong, how to solve problems and what to do now, the writer holds that socialist ethnic policy system with Chinese characteristics has realized the grand unification of territory of China and the diversity and unity pattern of the Chinese Nation. Facing the new national relationship in economic transformation, the ＂ new thought＂ of ＂ completely＂ solving ethnic problems through ＂ forced identification＂ will lead to a serious political risk for China＇s ethnic work. The government should play a leading role in adjusting national relations, restricting polarization in market economy, giving play to its role of integration, and constructing a national relation mechanism of unity, mutual prosperity and development of all ethnic groups, which should be the direction of ethnic policy and the future of national integration.
