教育品质、学术品质和专业品质是大学传统要求和尊严所在,也是大学品质的源头。教育的品质旨在完成培养有道德的公民的使命;学术品质在于追求思想观念和知识的创造:专业品质重在培养利用专业服务社会和国家的人才。面对行政权力手段化,学术舆论化,教授年轻化,教学、科研和服务分化,评价项目化对大学品质的侵蚀。中国大学必须回归和重塑大学的固有品质。

Education character, academic character and professional character are the traditions in the universities, but these character of the universities is being eroded by many unhealthy elements, including regarding power as means of gaining academic resource, translating academic into opinion, appointing more and more young professors, dividing teaching from research or service, seeing project as assess criterion of academic research in China. So we must renew intrinsic character of universities in China.
