由于没有本民族的文字记载，又缺少汉文史籍相关记载，哈尼族古代历史一向模糊不清。本文通过对“谷哈”所指地望及相应历史时期的考证，清晰地提出哈尼先民与古滇历史的密切关联，论述了哈尼人进入元江、红河流域的时间，为重建完整、真实的哈尼族历史提供重要的时间线索和地理框架，为西南民族历史、藏彝走廊族群研究提供一种哈尼视角。重视与加强边缘族群研究，尊重其历史书写，我们才有可能重建边缘族群历史，并以此与华夏中心历史互证，还原中华民族历史真实面貌。

The ancient history of the Hani nationality is vague due to the lack of Hani writing and the scarcity of relevant Chinese historic documents. The paper gives a study of the placename ＂Guha＂ in Hani＇s oral language and reveals the close correlation between Hani ancestors and the ancient history of Yunnan. It describes the time when the Hanis entered the Yuanjiang-Honghe Valley, and offers a clear temporal and geographical clue to the real history of the Hanis as well as a new perspective for the study of the histories of the ethnic groups in southwest China, which should have much signifi- cance to the future related studies.
